Catering to your body’s unique needs, Chinese herbology utilizes plants and minerals to create specifically tailored formulas to heal you in a drug-free way.

Quality and Safety Are Important To Us

As usual, I only carry the highest quality, premium raw herbs, ointments and patent formulas which have been tested for potency and safety. Our herbs are Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) Certified and are repeatedly inspected and tested at each level of production, both in China and the United States. Each batch is tested for pesticides in the US and to test for heavy metals and micro bacteria.

Relationship Between Herbal and Modern Medicine

You may or may not know that I am a biologist as well! (Go ORU!)

Having a deep understanding of botany, biology, biochemistry and physiology, I am able to combine both Western and Eastern medicine to bring the most effective, holistic treatments that will HEAL rather than just medicate your body.

Many of the popular pharmaceuticals in modern medicine that you know have their roots in herbology.

For example, take Lipitor. This famous cholesterol buster is based on the Chinese herb, hóng qū mǐ, red yeast rice.

In cancer treatment, the drug Paclitaxel (Taxol), is a derivative of the Pacific Yew, Taxus brevifolia, is used in chemotherapy.

The Madagascar Periwinkle, Catharanthus roseus, is the source of vinblastine and vincristine, alkaloids used respectively in the treatment of Hodgkin’s disease and pediatric leukemia.

Quinine and quinidine are both extracts from the bark of the Chinchona Tree. Both are still used to save lives against malaria parasites.

Just last year, Guo’s (2014) study in the Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine found the following: “Chinese herbs increase endometrial thickness, improve the quality of fertility and embryo, and promote embryonic nidation, thus enhancing the success rate of the in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transplantation cycle. Using Chinese herbs improves the outcomes and safety of assisted reproductive technologies.”(p. 272)

Many drugs cause side effects due to the process of extracting and synthesizing the active constituents of healing plants. Herbal medicine is different since it uses the whole plant, allowing all the active and inactive constituents of the plant to work together in a synergistic way; how nature intended.

Herbs are a more effective solution to non-threatening cases because they treat the underlying cause of disease, instead of merely masking the symptoms.
